CFC BLOG #177: February Anti Pet Peeves Collection
The CFC Is looking forward to putting together a collection of anti-pet peeves (little things that trigger immense joy!) from members of the CFC community every couple months! Please always feel free to send me one if you'd ever like to contribute!
I usually wait to sit down and read these all at once because it feels like Christmas morning when I do - so much joy created at the same time due to many different people's small contributions. I hope you enjoy this wonderful list!

February Anti Pet Peeves
When people offer me a seat on the subway, especially when my backpack is heavy and I have an hour commute. - Sandra Diaz
My watch tells me the sunrise and sunset every day, and it makes me SO HAPPY to see the time the sun sets get a little later each day - I’m not the biggest fan of short winter days! -Lauren Culbertson
Getting gas the other day I had a really, REALLY friendly attendant. This gentleman was truly remarkable, such that I asked him if telling his manager how great he was would help in any way. He affirmed that it would be, so I did. I often encounter people who seem to be grudgingly doing their work in this world... I was really grateful to encounter someone who brought joy to his work. -Richard Uniacke
The moment you cut or bite into a perfect fruit, be it a buttery avocado or a crisp red apple. I love this so much my 4-yr old has noticed and now exclaims "mmmm, perfect!" when she experiences the same thing. -Fay Sardjono
My current anti pet peeve is waiting in line at the drinking fountain as people fill their reusable water bottles. The longer the line, the more inspired I am! -Steph Wissink
As one who travels a decent amount, I would have to say one of my favorite anti pet-peeves is when I’m on the first leg of a 2-plane trip and it’s running late to the point I know I’m going to miss my connection. Once I get off the plane I then see on the board in the terminal that the second part of the trip has been delayed also allowing me to make the second plane. Now that’s a good day! - Morris Pickens
My anti-pet peeve is hearing my dog snore. -Crystal Valentine
Waking up, going into the kitchen and seeing the sun reflect on an office building near by, mirroring the sun into the space. -Matthias Hollwich
A soap in a hotel as opposed to some liquid crap, or beating my high score in a video game. -Nooruddin (Rudy) Karsan
When you get all green-lights! - Jack Elkins
Waiting in line and a great song just comes along, which makes me sing along with the tune and I forget the waiting immediately. Or… Songs with very long names. I love those. -Maria Souza
When the first of the new month starts on a Sunday! Like it is for March this year! -Anna Gomez
Seeing people smile in public even when they’re alone. - Chad Nussbaum
Receiving little love notes from children with hysterically-spelt words. -Amanda Posa
Perhaps a picture is better than 1000 words. Vacation in the Virgin Islands. -Muayyad Al-Chalabi
