#336: Flight Writings

Like a half-remembered dream, Eric's piece opens more questions than it gives answers. I found it quickly reconnected my access to the mystical and magical planes… the supernatural elements of nature, the simple and immediate language, and the sheer wonder of the spirit's words. How divine it is to suspend disbelief, and accept accounts from the beyond.

Flight Writings

It’s a gray cloudy day with patches of blue and white sky, southeast wind. Columbus Day – (Now Indigenous People’s Day) has come and gone – and almost like clockwork the weather is starting to change like the colors on the trees. 
I had an interrupted night of sleep. The moon was blasting through the skylight and I drank too much water after eating salty cod, lobster, and crab.  The moon-mad cat kept waking me up. The wheels in my head were rapidly turning after talking with a friend about building a new website.
Out of the night a dream conversation emerged with Stephen, my 5-year-old drowned brother. Based on previous experience, I always pay attention to what he says.
“Eric after I left you the church ladies said I’d left the shell of my body on Earth – but my Spirit would live on in the Sky.  I remember back then President Kennedy said it was important to send a man to the Moon – and safely return him to Earth. I showed you the importance of Life In The Sky to help you make sense of my rapid departure.
You humans have Dreamed about Flying – Forever! And now you can in so many ways. For many people flying has been about the Flying Machine – to get from one point to another. Not so for you! Yes, of course, you need and like the vehicle – the vessel – that makes flight possible. For you it’s more about the Idea of Flight – moving through fluid space – seeing from a Bird’s-Eye-View,  a God’s-Eye-View, how Close and Connected everything Truly Is!
The airplane connects you through the Atmosphere – to the Spirits in the Sky – close to Heaven! It also connects you to your Mother Earth. You need to connect with ME more! Today you’ll be flying in a glider – with a motor to launch you. Once airborne you can turn off the engine and fly your wings with the Power of Lift – Drag – Thrust – and Gravity with all the nuances of a bird without having to Become a Bird. You will See and Feel your Earth from Above! Holy – Wholely – Holy!

You’re going to Fly! – not to get somewhere…you’re going to fly to experience the Freedom of Flight! To realize that human dream to be like a bird! It’s very important for you to show and share your vision of Land – Water – Sky!
